WOW! Things have been crazy around The Mama Bear Yogini office. I am currently in the process of getting certified to be a Health Coach! This change is so exciting in terms of all of the doors it is going to open for The Mama Bear Yogini to help others. I will be offering Health Coaching packages, in person and online, I am working on creating online courses to help with more inspiration and motivation for your journey, and I am going to dive more into videos! Yoga videos, cooking videos, whatever videos I think y’all might benefit from! If it seems like I have been less present on the blog, this is why. Starting a business from scratch is hard and its very scary. I appreciate all the patience you have with me and know that it will all be worth it once everything comes together!
The Nutrition School
I am so excited to be taking courses through The Nutrition School with Keri Glassman. She is so knowledgeable and stays up to date on all thing health and wellness! The courses are designed in a way that I can work at my own pace and have multiple mediums to learn from. This is so important for me because I am not one of those people who can look at a textbook and regurgitate the information back to you. I need to hear it, I need to see it, and I need to write it. So I watch her videos, read her worksheets, and take notes on anything I hear that I think is important. I do have an Associates Degree in education so I know a little bit about ways to learn using different methods and how to create methods that are personally tailored to me, so I am absorbing as much information as she can throw at me! I plan to use those tools when I create courses to share with you! I am so excited to add Health and Wellness Coaching to my services. Helping others live a healthy life is my passion (its why I started this blog in the first place) that I decided to seek out education to be able to add more to my services to you! I will be here to help you with nutrition needs (education, meal plans, recipes), self-wellness (motivation, inspiration, support, alternative forms of medicine), and of course yoga (I am still working on getting Yoga Teacher Certified and will be sharing even more yoga related information through videos and more!) I hope that by offering these services and doing a little “re-branding”, I can really make a difference in your lives and help people even more with their journey to health and happiness!
The plan is to soon offer online courses to teach about healthy eating, stress relief, and overall happy living. I was born to teach, and this is what I am passionate about, so I know these will be beneficial to you! I would love for anyone to hope online and shoot me an e-mail with some course ideas that you would be interested in taking. What kinds of things do YOU want to learn about? Nutrition? Wellness? Mental Health? Anything that I am not knowledgeable on, you can bet I will be partnering with someone who is! I am not afraid to admit that I might not know everything, but since I want to be the person you turn to, you can bet that I am researching and working with experts to give you the best information! Anything not taken from my own brain will of course be properly cited to you. Again, I’m not ashamed to need help from others! 🙂
I love to cook! Now that I am learning tons of new things about the ins and outs of nutrition, I am loving finding healthier meals to cook for my family. I am so excited to be partnering with amazing food bloggers to share with you easy, healthy meals you can share with your family to lead them down a path to health and wellness. Hopefully with time I will be sharing recipes that I have come up with on my own, but as stated above, I know how important it is to work with others to get you where you want to be in life!
A little bit of re-branding info. The name ‘The Mama Bear Yogini’ is staying. I love how it gives you a lot of information about me with just the brand name. I am a Mama Bear, 3 kids, busy, but I take my job seriously and I lead my kids just like a real mama bear in nature would. My services and blog posts will be much more geared towards families and mothers, but don’t worry men out there, I love to find ways to get my words to relate to as many people as possible, so I will strive to still relay my information in a way that Dad’s can use too! The website design is also going to change so that I can incorporate scheduling coaching sessions and purchasing courses all from The Mama Bear Yogini site! My overall goal has always been making yoga and health and wellness as accessible as possible, which means easy to understand and navigate, so my website will follow the same goals!
